If only we could all be as lucky as Amanda, and have neighbours bring us such delicious treats! And then be kind enough to allow the recipe to be shared as here on kevin & amanda. These chewy, buttery cookies may be a little decadent, but you can always share them with your own neighbours!
Lately Jane has taken to toasting and mixing our own delicious muesli at home, and everyone’s a winner (well, with the exception of our local cafe, where vegemite toast sales are way down!). So I think we might steal some ideas from this beautiful chocolate-laced granola by Lindsay at love & olive oil. We’ve already got some coconut oil ready to go!
This is such a simple recipe, but when you see it plated by Kevin from closet cooking it looks more like a restaurant dish! And despite the simplicity you can see the thought that has gone into this marinade, with elements of sweet, sour, salt and umami all there. A great mid-week option and healthy to boot!
It’s impossible to ignore this dish — what brilliant colours! Bree from baked bree has taken inspiration from a local restaurant dish and freshened it up with her own twist. The result would wow any dinner party, with the leftovers making for healthy weekday lunches.
We finish up this week with these brilliant little spiced sweets from girlichef Heather. I’m especially intrigued by the idea of adding reduced apple cider to these caramels, it really sounds like a winning combination! And I’ll never turn down something with five-spice :).
