This blog is our place on the web to talk about the food we love to cook and eat. I’m your host Jason, a software developer from Sydney, and I’m joined here by my wife Jane. We share our home and our cooking with our wonderful baby daughter Ella and not-so-miniature schnauzer Mozart. Ella gets first chance, of course, then Mozart cleans up!
On the blog we mainly post recipes, with occasional news about our app Zest or general tips about cooking. The recipes we post come in three categories:
- Original recipes, developed and cooked at home. Our recipes focus on simple, fresh flavours (that’s the zest!) made with seasonal ingredients. Most of them are inspired by food we’ve tasted on our travels, what we’ve seen on other blogs or just whatever looked good at the market!
- Baby Zest recipes, which we’ve developed especially to feed our little ball of mischief! All of these recipes are trialled by Ella (our harshest critic) before they are posted. As with most babies she can be fickle but will actually eat most things if given a chance or two. It’s an adventure introducing the wonderful world of food to a bub, so come along for the ride!
- Zest Tests: trials of other recipes we’ve found on the web. We follow lots of other blogs and love to discover and share new recipes this way. One of the reasons we created our app Zest was to keep track of all the great recipes we found!
